White Horses Bantham Devon Accommodation
Introduction to our property
Set on the waterside of the River Avon in the village of Bantham, Devon. With views across the surf to Burgh Island, White Horses is a private, uniquely idyllic holiday location a short walk from the beautiful sands of Bantham and the 16th century Sloop Inn.
One of Bantham's 19th century properties sleeping 10 – 14, White Horses went through extensive modernisation in 2010 to provide accommodation facilities to meet the needs of today’s families.
A considered internal design provides spacious communal areas, including a glorious kitchen-dinner for family gatherings; yet three smaller open-plan kitchen-living areas adjacent to sleeping areas providing individual family space too.
This beautiful home, surrounded by private gardens, Bantham's sand dunes, rural walks and outdoor activities and the Sloop Inn, offers the ideal location for a family get-away. The property has a beautiful view across Bantham and Bigbury Bay.
White Horses is available as a single property or individual apartments for 2 - 4 people. Please contact us for more information.

Coming into Bantham, arrive through stone pillars through to parking for six vehicles. Stop to take in the view across Bantham, to the Avon river and Burgh Island. In the lobby, walk past the door to the large twin-shower wet room, laundry area and storage areas, to the foot of the wooden glass-panelled stairwell. Turn to your left, and through the double-door entrance to the extensive kitchen-dinner, through the wall of concertina patio doors, admire the view once again.
Step from the lobby in to the dining area, across to the marble-surfaced kitchen, with ample storage spaces, electric hob and cooker, and the window seating so you can enjoy the views across Bantham. Opposite the kitchen is a comfortable living room space, with games, books and SKY TV on a large widescreen. The concertina patio doors from the dining area make way to a large patio area and the lawn and gardens.
The first floor provides two bedrooms with a bath/ shower room and a further two separable accommodation areas, both with open-plan living areas and double rooms: River Flat & Island Flat.
Of the separable accommodation areas in White Horses, Island Flat on the first floor is the largest, with a large bedroom leading on to the shared balcony, shower room, a spacious living room with sofa-bed for two, and a separate, well-equipped kitchen, which has a dining table for four, and leads out to a shared 1st floor patio area with spiral staircase to the groundfloor.
The second separable living area on the first floor is River Flat, which benefits from an open plan kitchen-living area, with access to the patio area and spiral staircase access shared with Island Flat, adjacent to River Flat's kitchen.
